Water leaks are usually caused by a clogged condensate drain line — the tube that carries moisture from your indoor unit outside. Other causes include a frozen evaporator coil that melts and overflows, or a damaged drain pan. A clogged drain line is a quick fix, but left unattended it can cause serious water damage. This is called "short cycling" and it's hard on your equipment. Common causes include a dirty air filter, refrigerant issues, a faulty thermostat, or an oversized unit for your home. Short cycling wastes energy and can shorten the life of your compressor. We recommend having it diagnosed quickly before it leads to a full breakdown.

In Texas summers, your AC can account for over 50% of your electric bill. High bills often mean your system is working harder than it should — usually due to a dirty filter, leaky ducts, poor attic insulation, low refrigerant, or an aging inefficient unit.
